    Dear Piero,
Until the last moment I hoped to be able to come to Paris to remember Leo, but I was ‘precepted’ by my son Antonio to look after his girls in Berlin. As almost always happens, family commitments come before everything.
I wish you a wonderful meeting. In Paris, when I lived there, I had many dealings with Leo who also dealt with the problems of Afghanistan. I used to go every now and then for lunch at his very pleasant house near Luxembourg, with the whole baguette in the middle of the table and him saying bread is broken not cut, it is written in the bible. Thank you for thinking of me and best regards.
    Marina
